A warm welcome awaits you from Sue and Avril here at The Saladin; this is a place where the whole family can relax in the cosy atmosphere.

  • We are a privately owned family run business
  • Our food is freshly prepared, cooked here on the premises by Sue or Stuart. All sourced by local suppliers and where possible producers. Fish arrives three times a week from Brixham, Devon.
  • The bar is well stocked with real ales, premium lagers, local cider
  • A good selection of wines by bottle or glass, Prosecco and Champagne
  • All special occasions and dietary requirements catered for
  • Hire the entire pub for a private function
  • We open for lunch and dinner most days, however we are closed Sunday evening and all day Monday.

 

balloonWhy the Balloon?

Walter Powell MP for Malmesbury, was a benefactor for Malmesbury and its surrounding area, he moved to Little Somerford in 1878, and was a keen hot air balloonist. Sadly whilst out conducting experiments in 1881 he lost control and was last seen heading across the channel where we assume he met his end in his beloved balloon; SALADIN.
